You can do this from the app, or from the web, or by email. All three are described below and all three run the same erasure on the same clock. You do not need the app installed.

Delete your SafeTrace account
App: SafeTrace (com.safetrace.app) · Developer: Temy · Contact: [email protected]
Last updated: 2026-08-27
This page is the account-deletion information Google Play links from the SafeTrace store listing. It tells you how to delete your account from inside the app, what that deletes, how long it takes, and how to ask us to do it if you no longer have the app installed.
Delete it from inside the app
- Open SafeTrace and sign in.
- Go to Settings -> Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete account again.
You are signed out immediately and this phone's copy of your data is cleared on the spot.
There is no way to undo this. If you change your mind after confirming, email [email protected] from the address on the account as soon as possible and we will try to stop the erasure, but we cannot promise it.
Ask us instead
If the app is uninstalled, or you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and then the same erasure below happens on the same clock.
What gets deleted
Straight away, on your phone:
- your signed-in session
- your name and mobile number as this phone had them saved
- the people you added (a child's first name lives only on the phone, and never on our servers)
- this phone's registration record
Within 30 days, on our servers:
- your account and its sign-in details: email address, name, mobile number, password
- the record of when you accepted the Terms
- every location fix and battery or status report from the trackers paired to your account
- the trackers themselves, the safe zones you drew, and any sharing you set up
- the phone and tracker registrations tied to the account
What we keep, and why:
- The consent record. If you gave guardian consent for a child's tracker, the fact that consent was given, withdrawn or declined is a legal record we are required to be able to produce. It is kept without the data it covered.
- A dated note that a deletion was requested, so we can show the request was honoured. It holds the date and the account identifier, not your name, email or any location.
Nothing kept can be used to locate a child or to contact you.
How long it takes
Up to 30 days from the moment you confirm, counted from the request we record the second you tap the second Delete account. In practice it is usually much faster. A second tap does not restart the clock, so tapping twice is safe.
Just want to stop location collection?
You do not have to delete the whole account. Withdrawing guardian consent stops collection of a child's location and clears the history that consent covered, while leaving your account intact. Email [email protected] and we will do it, or use the withdrawal control in the app once it ships.
